HOLIDAY PROGRAMS TO HELP OUR LESS FORTUNATE
ADOPT-A-FAMILY - Donors purchase
gifts or gift cards for Christmas. Donators are given a “wish
list” from the family in need. Gifts should be wrapped and
dropped off at the township by Monday December 16, 2013.
ADOPT-A-SENIOR - Donations of postal stamp books,
puzzle books, and pharmacy store gift cards are needed. These are
distributed to low-income seniors. Donations should be dropped off
at the township by Monday 16, 2013.
HOLIDAY DINNER - Donors purchase groceries to prepare
a Holiday dinner. Items may include: stuffing, potatoes, vegetables,
gravy, rolls, dessert, a gift card to purchase a turkey or ham,
and anything else you would like to add. Dinners for seniors, small
and large families are needed. The last day to drop off dinners
is Monday, December 16, 2013.

Fremont CERT is partnering with Countryside Fire
Protection District to recycle unusable fire extinguishers (all
sizes) and out of service smoke detectors.
Drop them off at either of their stations during business
hours to any on duty firefighter.

EXPANDED PACE BUS SERVICE
The Northwest Demo Dial-A-Ride now goes
to Advocate Condell Hospital, 801 S. Milwaukee Avenue
Fremont Township has 2 PACE Bus Services available to township
1. Curb to Curb Service that operates from 10:00 until 3:00 on
Tuesday and Thursday and travels to select shopping areas. This
service is for seniors and disabled individuals. The fare is $1
each way. Please call 847.223.6300 one business day in advance of
the day that you need a ride. No application necessary to use this
2. Lake County Northwest Demostration Dial-a-Ride Service. This
Curb-to-Curb service operates on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from
9:30 until 2:30 and travels to Gurnee Mills, College of Lake County,
Greenleaf Medical Offices, Mundelein Metra Station, Lake County
Center for Independent Living, and the Healthreach Clinic. These
destinations are transfer hubs to other destinations. (see Rider's
Guide for connections). Priority is given to seniors and disabled
individuals but service is open to the general public. Residents
must register through the township office. The fare is $2 for seniors
and disabled individuals and $4 for all others. To schedule a ride,
call 800.201.6446. Application must be on file with the township
before you can start using the service. See Rider's Guide (below)
for additional information.
