Township government was adopted in 1850 and was mandated by the
State of Illinois to provide Assistance to the Needy, Road &
Bridge maintenance, and Property Assessment. Fremont Township is
located in Lake County, Illinois. Lake County is divided into 18
townships. Generally, there are eight elected officers, elected
for terms of four years: Supervisor, Clerk, Assessor, Highway Commissioner,
and four Trustees. Fremont Township’s area consists of six
square miles and includes portions of the following towns: Mundelein,
Libertyville, Grayslake, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Long Grove,
Wauconda, Hawthorn Woods, and North Barrington.

UPCOMING EVENTS
SUMMER LIHEAP APPLICATIONS
The Summer LIHEAP Program will be available from July 19, 2010
until July 30, 2010. This program provides $150.00 to Commonwealth
Edison to assist with electric costs associated with cooling. This
program is for seniors (60 and older), disabled, doctor's note stating
that you need air conditioning due to your medical condition, or
if there is a child under the age of 3 in the household. There are
income guidelines. Please call 847.223.2847 for additional information
or to schedule an appointment.
PARK ON PARK CRUISE NIGHTS
Park on Park Classic car show is held on the 2nd Wednesday of the
month on Park & Seymour in downtown Mundelein. This show features
the best collection of pre-1977 classic cars. Remaining dates are:
August 11 and September 8.
August 11 is food pantry night. Please bring a non-perishable
food item or make a cash donation to help benefit our food pantry.
SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
Trevor Dinelli, a Boy Scout with Troop #388 in Mundelein is conducting
a school supply drive for his Eagle Scout Project. He is collecting
basic supplies, backpacks, cash, and giftcard donations that will
be distributed to less fortunate children in our area. Please drop
off supplies at the township office.
