Township government was adopted in 1850 and was mandated by the
State of Illinois to provide Assistance to the Needy, Road &
Bridge maintenance, and Property Assessment. Fremont Township is
located in Lake County, Illinois. Lake County is divided into 18
townships. Generally, there are eight elected officers, elected
for terms of four years: Supervisor, Clerk, Assessor, Highway Commissioner,
and four Trustees. Fremont Township’s area consists of six
square miles and includes portions of the following towns: Mundelein,
Libertyville, Grayslake, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Long Grove,
Wauconda, Hawthorn Woods, and North Barrington.

CASH DASH
The Cash Dash reunites Illinois residents with unclaimed
property. This property can be anything from long-lost bank accounts
to entire estates that never made it to a rightful owner. Representatives
from the Illinois State Treasurer's Office will conduct searches
on the state's online database from 3 pm until 6 pm on Tuesday February
16, 2010 in the lower level of our administrative office.
The Fremont Township Well & Water Committee will
sponsor a community outreach on clean water availability and water
conservation on Saturday March 13, 2010 from 9:00 - 3:00 at the
Fremont Public Library located at 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.
All are encouraged to stop by and learn about the efforts that are
being taken to keep our local water supply safe.
